The Great Gear List
Here
it is folks! Across eleven years of Scouting, numerous encounters with
charitable friends and strangers, the occasional random outdoor store,
and of course, countless trips to REI, the Walkabout gear has been
upgraded and acquired. This may seem like a lot of stuff but it all fits
in the back of the Kodiak with much room to spare. Each piece of
equipment was procured to serve a specific purpose, small or great.
Supplementing bushcraftiness and ingenuity, this equipment will afford
me the opportunity to have the most fulfilling outdoor journey across
America's varying tame, harsh, and wild landscapes. This list is likely
to change in minor ways and does not include clothing or food specifics
(but may in the future). Obviously I will not need all of this gear at every Park but will need specific equipment based on the terrain and the seasons. To make it easier on myself, on my personal Master List, I have extra columns with checkmarks indicating which gear I will need to take with me (from the Kodiak) based on the Park's environment and terrain. Does that make sense? I'm tired. Anywho...questions, comments, suggestions are welcome...
